Our relationship with nature is interconnected with our need for human attachment (Seymor V. 2016). People of all ages are mentally, physically, socially, and emotionally healthier when they spend regular time outdoors in natural environments.
Learning improves when students are inquisitive, interested, or inspired. Conversely learning decreases when students are bored, dispassionate, or disengaged. Prominent organizations such as the National Science Board recommends that all students should have opportunities to “experience inquiry-based learning, peer collaboration, open-ended, real-world problem solving, hands-on training, and interactions with practicing scientists and other experts”
